9 December 2004
Christchurch man Darryn Rosanowski found guilty of murdering Darryn McRobert, guilty of kidnapping his former partner
After three hours of deliberations, a jury at the High Court trial of Christchurch man Darryn Rosanowski has returned a verdict.
The 38-year-old was defending a charge of murdering 36-year-old Darryn McRobert, who was in a relationship with his former defacto partner.
Rosanowski was also charged with kidnapping his former partner, after allegedly killing the victim in front of her at her Hornby home in February.
The jury has found Rosanowski guilty on both counts.
He greeted the verdicts with an expletive, and police had to help court bailiffs as he was removed from the dock.
He will be sentenced in February.
