Gisborne man arrested

Fifty-year-old Gisborne man due in court tomrrow following serious assault in Kaiti which left a man with head injuries
A Gisborne man is in police custody after a serious assault at a house in the city last night.

As a result of the assault, a 55-year-old man is in hospital with serious head injuries.

The incident happened at a house in the suburb of Kaiti.

The arrested man, who's aged 50, is in court tomorrow charged with assault.
