Beware of what you post on Facebook

Police in Christchurch are reminding Facebook users the site is a public domain, so they should avoid potentially defamatory comments
Christchurch police are warning Facebook users to be mindful of what they post.
A new group has been set up containing scathing attacks on the new principal of Christchurch's biggest school, Burnside High School.
Warwick Maguire took over from Ron Noordijk last November.
Some pupils have set up a group entitled "I Hate Burnside's New Principal". It is a public group with 279 members, whose names and pictures are clearly visible on the friends list - as is the name of the group's creator.
Senior Sergeant Pete Stills says Papanui police have been contacted by the school, but they have not received an official complaint. He says people need to be mindful of the potentially defamatory comments they may make on Facebook, which is a public domain.
Another group has been set up supporting Warwick Maguire.
