ContacNT worth $3 million has been found in secret compartments in granite which was shipped into Auckland in a container
Police and Customs officers have found $3 million worth of a key P ingredient in pallets of granite.
They seized the ContacNT in a container arriving through Ports of Auckland. Inside were pallets of Chinese granite, which had secret compartments hollowed in them to conceal the product.
Police say if sold in its raw form, the ContacNT has a street value of around $3 million. It could have been used to make between 13 and 20 kilograms of methamphetamine.
Five Chinese men aged between 17 and 22 have been arrested and charged with possession of pseudoephedrine for supply and importing the substance.
