 Teen jailed for life for taxi driver killing

Seventeen-year-old Shannon Boyes-Warren has been jailed for at least 15 and a half years for the murder of a Christchurch taxi driver
The teenager who murdered a Christchurch taxi driver has been sentenced to life imprisonment.
Last month, Shannon Boyes-Warren admitted killing Abdulrahman Ikhtiari, who was stabbed in his taxi in the central city in December 2008.
The 17-year-old has received a non-parole period of 15 and a half years. His accomplice, 20-year-old Randell Brown pleaded guilty to a manslaughter charge last month. The judge is sentencing him now.
