Thurs 26th Aug - Break for jury in Scott Watson trial
There is no sitting of the Scott Watson murder trial for the rest of the week, after the Crown completed its case against the accused yesterday.
Nearly 500 witnesses have taken the stand as prosecutors argued Watson murdered Olivia Hope and Ben Smart on New Year's Day last year.

Watson has denied the killings.

The Crown's case has taken ten and a half weeks, and produced more than three thousand pages of transcript, half a metre high.

Defence lawyers will open their case on Monday, but say they're unable to give any indication of how long that will take.
